In the begining....

In the begining they often say God gave light, in our case he gave us Shaun the Sheep. Or to be exact 3 dozen Shaun the Sheep singing and dancing teddy bears. We began working out of our dining room, testing everything we bought in the living room. There were 36 Shaun the Sheep scattered across the living floor like and army of miniture woolly soliders. Our 2 young children excitedly hoping around turning them all on. My husband and I spending 5 hours changing batteries and listening to the theme tune to the Shaun the Sheep movie. Then loading them all into the car for a carboot early that weekend. Needless to say we haven't watched Shaun the Sheep since...
The journey to buying and selling came to us from necessity after I had been made reduntant from two jobs in a row. The rescession was hitting hard and companies were closing left, right and centre. So husband and I took the last £300 of our savings and bought what we could at auction. After tesing everything and arranging for a family member to look after the kids, he headed out on a cool August morning to one of our local carboots.
That was back in 2017. Since then we have worked long hard hours and re-invested every penny made. In 2018 we opened our first eBay shop and quickly became a Top Rated Seller and started to expand in 2019. Unfortunatly we were hit hard by the Covid Pandemic, and like may companies, did what we could to survive what would soon be known as an unprecidented situation. In 2023 we continued with our plans and began selling wholesale to the other traders we had come to know on local carboots, and after a while the word spread. In 2024 we offically announced that we would be wholesaling goods.
Here at Gaita Home & Garden, my husband and I are now proud to specialise in selling job lots and bundles to small carboot and market traders who are reselling in the very same places we began. We happily offer tips and advice from our experiances over the years and enjoy listening to our customers stories, because lets face it, selling on markets and carboots give you plenty of stories to tell!
